The CLI prints a short code and verification URL, then opens your browser. Confirm the code matches what the browser shows, approve the login, and you’re authenticated. On headless machines or SSH sessions, open the printed URL on another device and confirm the code manually.

Credential storage

Credentials are stored per API origin: On macOS, credentials go through Apple’s security binary so they survive CLI upgrades without prompting for keychain access. Set BANANASPLIT_NO_KEYCHAIN=1 to use the file store instead.

Sign out

Revokes the stored refresh token before deleting the local credential. The last access token may remain valid server-side for up to 15 minutes, but it can’t be refreshed.

Environment variables

Local development

To use a local deployment:
Non-loopback URLs must use HTTPS.

Check status

Reports whether you’re signed in, which API you’re talking to, and whether the skill matches the CLI version. Each check is ok, warn, or fail.
