# QR Code API

> Generate print-ready QR codes programmatically. No authentication required.

The BananaSplit QR Code API creates deterministic, print-ready QR codes from developer tools or AI agent workflows.

## Features

* **No authentication** — stateless, no API key required
* **No watermarks** — clean output for any use
* **No scan limits** — codes work forever
* **Multiple formats** — SVG for print, PNG for preview, JSON for both
* **Full customization** — colors, corners, logo options

## Supported QR types

| Type | Content |
| - | - |
| `url` | Website links |
| `wifi` | Network credentials |
| `vcard` | Contact cards |
| `email` | Pre-filled email composition |
| `sms` | Pre-filled SMS messages |
| `text` | Plain text |

## Quick example

Generate a URL QR code:

```bash theme={null}
curl "https://bananasplit.net/api/qr-code?type=url&url=https://example.com&format=svg"
```

Returns a print-ready SVG.

## Base URL

```
https://bananasplit.net/api/qr-code
```

## Rate limits

* **60 requests per minute** per caller per edge location
* Respect `Retry-After` header on 429 responses

## Privacy

Payloads are not stored. The API is stateless — nothing is logged beyond standard HTTP request info.
